It is October 1999, and the Class of '79 is home again: letterman jackets, a mirror ball over the old gym, a slideshow of then-and-now photos and a time capsule waiting to be opened at midnight. Russ Kincannon, the old class president, has promised to tell everyone tonight what really happened to Wendy "Birdie" Lockridge, who vanished on Heron Lake on prom night 1979. Before he can speak, he is found dead behind the bolted door of the old yearbook office.
Your guests play the reunion chair, the photographer, the custodian, the DJ, a State Senate candidate, the art teacher, the town sergeant, the old quarterback and more, each with a public face, a juicy secret, a catchphrase and three goals of their own. Faxes arrive through the night, the time capsule delivers sealed letters from 1979, every guest carries a Hall Pass with three favors to spend, and four Lost Classmates cards hang on the wall: one of them describes somebody at the party.
Over four rounds your guests search the school, trade clues and accusations, solve a three-part case and crack the twenty-year-old cold case, and a fair, satisfying solution waits at the end.
