Short version. We store as little as we can: an account identifier, your email if you sign in, which cases you own, and your reading progress. No tracking cookies, no advertising, no selling of data. Contact: benseto65@gmail.com.

What we store and why
- Anonymous session. When you open a case we create an anonymous account in our database (Supabase, servers in South Korea) so rooms and progress work. It holds no personal data.
- Sign-in. If you sign in with Google or an emailed link we store your email address and, from Google, your name. We use them only to sign you in and to tie purchases to you.
- Purchases. We store which case or plan you bought, the date, the amount and a Stripe reference. Payment is taken by Stripe, which collects your card details and billing address (needed to calculate sales tax) under its own privacy policy; we never receive your card details.
- Progress and rooms. Which documents you have opened, your accusation, and, in a room, your chosen display name and votes, visible to the other people in that room.
- Room chat. Messages you write in a room are stored so the other players can read them, and are deleted automatically after two days.
- Voice chat (paid cases and Premium rooms). Voice is sent directly between the players' browsers and is never recorded or stored by us. To connect, each player's browser shares its network address (IP address) with the other players in the room. When a direct connection is not possible, the audio is relayed, encrypted, through Cloudflare's TURN service. Your microphone is used only after you tap Join voice, and only while you are in the call.
- Storage on your device. We use your browser's local storage, not tracking cookies, to keep your reading progress and your sign-in session on that device. Clearing site data removes it.
- Hosting and server logs. The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web server, it records technical request data (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) in short-lived logs used for security and troubleshooting.
- Code library. Fonts and the code that runs sign-in, purchases and rooms are served from our own server; we do not load Google Fonts or third-party content networks. Our fonts are hosted on this site; no request goes to Google Fonts.
- Emails. Sign-in links are sent through Resend. If you ask to be notified about new cases we keep your address for that purpose only; every email has an unsubscribe link.
What we do not do
No analytics cookies, no ad networks, no fingerprinting, no sale or sharing of your data with anyone except the providers named above (Hostinger, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Cloudflare for voice relay, and Google sign-in), who process it only to run the service.
Legal basis
We process account, purchase and progress data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), keep payment records because tax law requires it (legal obligation), and keep server logs to protect the site (legitimate interest).
International transfers
Some of these providers store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Your rights
Write to benseto65@gmail.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Deleting your account removes your purchases too, so download your PDFs first. We answer within 14 days. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Retention
Accounts and purchase records are kept while your account exists and for as long as tax law requires afterwards (7 years for payment records). Anonymous sessions with no purchases and no activity for 12 months are deleted.
Children
The cases are recommended for ages 14 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
