Schemers at Vexley Hall: a hidden role mystery party game for big groups
one payment · instant PDF download
Aunt Araminta Vexley, the richest and most mischievous woman in the county, has left this world at ninety-seven. Her doctor blamed her heart. Her will blames her family. It says that Schemers have been after her fortune for years, and not one share is paid until the family has played her parlor games under her roof and found them.
Every guest secretly draws a role. Most are Rightful Heirs who know only their own card; one or two are Schemers who know each other. Every Midnight, while everyone's eyes are closed, the Schemers slip a forged page into the will and cut another relative out. Nobody is murdered: the worst that can happen to you is losing your inheritance.
By day the family plays Aunt Araminta's parlor games to win Wax Seals and grow the Fortune, then gathers for a heated Family Meeting and votes to disown one suspect. Relatives who are out join the Staff with funny duties, so nobody sits on the sidelines. The evening ends with the Reading of the Will, where the family decides in secret whether the last Schemer is really gone.

No. Aunt Araminta passed away at ninety-seven before the evening begins, and nobody is hurt during the game. The Schemers only forge pages of her will and cut relatives out of the inheritance, so you get the mood of a country house mystery without any violence.
They join the Staff and get a Staff Duty card: keeping the clock, collecting ballots, making the Midnight sounds or predicting the vote. Every duty earns shares for the Fortune, so everyone stays in the evening to the end.
